This panel convenes some extraordinary Black and queer creatives from across the country to share their stories about working in the food industry and critically examine the ways that race, gender, and sexuality intersect in the food world. A book signing (The Cooking Gene, Tiki: Modern Tropical Cocktails, and Son of a Southern Chef: Cook with Soul) and reception. Mixed drinks made by Shannon Mustipher, hors d’oeuvres, and sweet bites, will follow the conversation.
