The Exceptionally Elderly Overweight Black Man Phoenix – Robert Moses’ KIN

Multiple award-winning Robert Moses’ Kin returns to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Forum with the World Premiere of The Exceptionally Elderly Overweight Black Man Phoenix, June 14-16. Choreographer Robert Moses’ work has been rendered by the fierce and unique dancers that have defined Robert Moses’ Kin for nearly 25 years. With this new work Moses reflects on what happens when the viewpoints of an “exceptionally elderly overweight Black man” are re-created by a multicultural company of young, athletic dance artists. The evening is a telling and retelling of one artist’s life-time of perspectives through the dancing of his much younger company.
