Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, Alexander Book Company is more than just your average, local bookstore. This gem is family owned and operated, and has idependently served the Yerba Buena community since 1990.
Alexander’s offers three floors of over 50,000 new books. From the top floor to the basement, you can find everything you want in print including contemporary best-sellers, classics, children’s books, books on art, entertainment, and how-to.
They also have a Frequent Buyer Program where you can recieve discounts on purchases. They also offer discounts to Academy of Art students and when you purchase a book at Alexander’s part of the profits goes to Trees For The Future, a non-profit organization that has helped plant nearly 60,000 trees.
