The Museum of the African Diaspora is celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day this year with free admission to the museum on Monday, January 16. Come check out the festive programming highlighting the vitality of civil disobedience and protest. Dimensions Dance Company will present selections of dance from the diaspora and other family friendly activities and scavenger hunts aim to deepen visitors’ engagement with the museum. The day will conclude with a screening of a short documentary about the creation of a memorial for Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton.
