111 Minna Gallery’s next show, Poolside, will feature nearly 200 summertime fun-themed pieces created at an affordable scale by a powerful lineup of over 60 Bay Area artists. It opens on July 14 and closes on the penultimate day of summer: September 21.
The show is an extension of the Gallery’s popular Sketch Tuesday series, in which artists reproduce art in a manner more friendly to those who love original art but might not be able to pick up that Chagall at Christie’s.
The opening reception on Friday, July 14, which kicks off in the evening at 5:00 and will conclude at 10:00, promises to be an excellent time. Expect an outdoor BBQ (replete with vegetarian options for the plant-based crowd) prepared by the fine likes of Chef Theran of Honey Browns, vegan pastries and more baked by Lyndsay H. Pullem of LH Bakeshop, a kiddie pool for the dippin’, and some great tunes from Joshua Rampage.
